Henry Malfroy was a French artist born in the South of France into an artistic family, his father was the artist Charles Malfroy. He was considered a post-Impressionist artist of landscapes and seascapes. Malfroy enjoyed painting hillsides and port views of Bouches-du-Rhone and of Le Var. He also painted the bustling and vibrant city streets of Paris. Malfroy exhibited regularly at the Salon de Independents and Salon des Artistes Francais.
