Aldo Mazza (Milan, July 6, 1880 - Gavirate, July 26, 1964) was an Italian painter, publicist and illustrator. He was the son of Adelio, an accountant and dialect poet, and nephew of the romantic school painter Giuseppe Mazza (1817-1884), who had Francesco Hayez as a teacher. Aldo Mazza grew up in an atmosphere marked by art and patriotismː his father and uncle had participated in the defense of Milan, against the Austrians of Marshal Josef Radetzky.
