Set of Fourteen 19th Century Gothic Stations of the Cross Religious Paintings

Stunning set of fourteen Gothic Revival Stations of the Cross hand-painted plaster tile paintings incased in beautiful hand-carved elaborate wood frames. Each has wonderful detail and numbered in a Roman numeral. Titles are in English. The stations chronological the progression of Christ's final hours, as told in the Christian Biblical tradition. These hung in a church at one time. Absolutely stunning! Condition is nice for their age. A couple of the wood edges have broken off. Largest piece missing is shown in the photos. The ceramic parts have no cracks and a few have some minor paint loss. Very rare set and are a statement piece when hung together.
