Louis Sola was born in Genoa in 1929 and studied at several institutes of art in Italy. At the age of 78 he still paints every day in and around Menton and in the hills of Provence, where he has lived for much of the past 35 years. Over the years, Sola has exhibited widely in Britain and Europe.
