1920s Wall Decorations

This rare black and white panorama photogragh is titled "Employees The Douglas Co. Santa Monica, Cal. June 1923." Featuring over one hundred and fifty employees including twenty women, and two aircraft, Donald Douglas appears to be on the right of the airplane on the left side of the photograph. A great piece of California and aeronautic history. "In 1923, Douglas received a contract from the U.S. Army Air Corps to build the Douglas World Cruisers (above), which shortly afterward became the first aircraft to circumnavigate the globe.
