Offered is a black and white photograph, sheet-fed gravure by Heinrich Heidersberger, entitled "Nude", photographed (date unknown) and printed in 1950s, France. The photo is of a reflections of an intricate woven object as an allusion of covering of the nude subject matter. Heinrich Heidersberger (1906-2006) was a German photographer whose subject matter tended to be architectural elements. He studied the surrealist art form under Fernand Leger and his photography composition was inspired by Man Ray. His early published works involved projecting light and shadows on the female form and appeared in "Stern" Magazine in the 1940s. The offered photo depicts a tasteful black and white nude using the elements of light and shadow as reflected off a an architectural element onto a nude female form. The piece looks like a surrealist work of art. The print is attached to a white linen mat board with dimensions: 12" x 16." A “Certificate of Authentication” comes with the offered piece.
