A rare collection of original black and white photographs purchased in 1996 that were printed in 1996. They were custom ordered and only maximum of 3 were made. The photographs are beautifully printed. Pat Milo was a “artistic” male nude/physique photographer. He was more about making a beautiful photograph, been shooting men mood for the sake of being nude. He worked as a chemistry teacher there until 1947, when he began photographing bodybuilders in Los Angeles, California, beginning with taking pictures of bodybuilding competitions. In 1956, Bellas launched his own magazine, The Male Figure. Among physique photographers, Bellas' work was noted for having a distinctly campy, tongue-in-cheek sensibility. Bellas also produced a number of early homoerotic 8 mm films with titles such as Cowboy Washup and Big Gun for Hire. This original black and white photograph of one of Richmond Barthé's rare, little-known sculptures was taken by the famous studio of Morgan and Marvin Smith, who located on West 125th Street next to the renowned Apollo Theater.
