About the Item
Pair of original printed photos by Harold E. Hatch (Born October/1886-Died November/1973). He worked around Danville, VT in the late 19th and early 20th c. His photos were contact printed from 5"x7" glass negatives and mounted on heavy cardboard, the reverse labeled with his name. These pictures are of the shingle factory at Morse's Mills as identified by the Danville Historical Society. This mill as well as many others were producing lumber, flour and woolen cloth and were powered by Joe's Brook, formerly named Merritt's River which flows through Danville.
