1940 Helsinki Olympic Games Original Vintage Poster
About the Item
Stunning and exceptionally rare poster for the 1940 Summer Olympic Games in Helsinki, Finland, or the Games of the XII Olympiad. Originally rescheduled, the games were eventually cancelled due to World War II and became the third games to be cancelled due to war. Helsinki went on to host the 1952 games.
With a fantastic design by Ilmari Sysimetsa of a runner racing across the globe, this piece of Olympic and sport design history is in fantastic condition with striking colour.
