1970 Queen Elizabeth 2 Transatlantic Original Vintage Poster
About the Item
Stunning poster created in 1970 to promote the new Cunard liner "Queen Elizabeth 2" which operated from Southampton in the UK to New York in the USA. The legendary British shipping and cruise line Cunard was founded in 1840 and continues to this day. The "QE2" operated from 1969 to 2008 when it was retired, going on to become a permanent floating hotel in Dubai since 2018.
Depicting the liner sailing between iconic skylines of London's Big Ben and Tower Bridge through to Paris' Eiffel Tower and New York's Brooklyn Bridge, this gorgeous 1970 design reads "Queen Elizabeth 2, Transatlantic Crossings, from New York to Europe" and says "For Once in Your Life, Live". This gorgeous poster is in fantastic condition and has been backed on museum quality linen to ensure its preservation for the decades to come.
