About the Item
Set of three original vintage travel advertising posters published by the PLM Paris Lyon Mediterranee railway company and the TMB Mont Blanc Tramway for Mont Blanc (the highest mountain in Europe), via St Gervais Les Bains and the Col de Voza, depicting Mont Blanc during the day, at dusk and at night. Stunning iconic Art Deco design for each by Georges Dorival (1879-1968) featuring the railway track running between the hills and forests towards Mont Blanc with the snow white mountains below the blue sky (day), and glowing in a shade of pink in front of an evening sky (dusk), and in green against a starry night sky, the title text - Vers Le Mont Blanc - and logos below in stylised green and blue letters. Size of each poster: 105x75cm. Very good condition, small restored tears on edges, backed on linen.
