About the Item
Printed by Cervo, Italy, this stunning original lithograph poster from 1937 promotes "Olimpic" hats. Reading "Leggerissimo", or "Very light", this beautiful poster depicts a fashion hat with runner Silhouette along with the Olympic Rings. This poster was produced one year after the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games held in Nazi occupied Germany, perhaps most notable for Jesse Owens' record smashing four gold medals.
With artwork from Italian caricaturist and painter Paolo Garretto, this piece is in fantastic condition with a gorgeous deep green colour, and is backed on museum quality linen to ensure its preservation for the decades to come.
