Additional Details: Displayed by the airline Air Ouest, we see the French west and the recognizable Brittany, as well as many journeys from Nantes and Belle Isle to Breton destinations. The company logo is a compass rose associated with a dog wearing a scarf decorated with Breton ermine The first airline "Air Ouest" was created on the initiative of the Nantes Chamber of Commerce in 1955. In 1956, it was the first airline present at Nantes airport by operating regular lines to Belle-Île-en-Mer (Morbihan), Saint-Brieuc (Côtes-d'Armor) and Brest (Finistère). The Nantes/Belle-Île line was the company's first line, opened in May 1956. It also provides the lines from Belle-Île-en-Mer (Morbihan) to Quiberon (Morbihan) and La Baule (Loire-Atlantique), but unfortunately doesn’t make the connection to l’Ile d’Yeu. It carried a thousand passengers on its lines in 1956. The company wanted to open the Lorient-Paris line between 1958-1959 on the initiative of Mr Louis Mazet, creator and President of the Lorient flying club, director of operations at Kaolin near Lorient airport in Ploemeur, but that -ci will never see the light of day due to the shutdown of its interior lines. His fleet was then made up of three De Havilland DH 89 Rapides. The president of the company is Mr. Corse. It ceased its activities in 1960.
