About the Item
Original vintage poster for the 1931 Exposition Coloniale Internationale / International Colonial Exhibition held in Paris featuring a stunning graphic illustration of a French soldier in an army helmet against a blue background with the Art Deco style text above and below in red and blue letters. The Paris Colonial Exhibition was held for six months to display the diverse cultures and resources of the French colonies. Artwork by Jacques et Pierre Bellenger (b 1909). Published by the Republique Francaise / French Republic. Very good condition, restored fold marks, backed on linen.
