Pinocchio is an Italian fictional character, hero of the children's novel The Adventures of Pinocchio written in 1881 by Carlo Collodi. Pinocchio's characteristics are his nose which lengthens when he lies and the fact that he is made of wood, created from scratch by his father, Gepetto, a carpenter.
Gepetto, the Blue Fairy, the cat and the fox, important characters in the tale, are represented alongside Pinocchio.
