Karel Willem Frederik Marie Doorman (1889-1942) was a Dutch Rear Admiral killed in action during the Battle of the Java Sea defending the East Indies/Malay Barrier against an Imperial Japanese attack as part of the short-lived American British Dutch Australian Command (ABDACOM; 1942). Printed in England by James Haworth & Brother Ltd, London. Fair condition, folds, creasing, staining, tears, small paper losses on edges.
