The British R.A.F. advertised for assistance during 1940, and a total of 271 American citizens joined during the years of 1940 and 1942. These volunteer American soldiers became known as the Eagle Squadron. Center in the composition, the title of the film is listed in bright yellow lettering. The film detailed various propagandistic notions of war, with Grable portrayed in the famous ‘pinup’ role.
