Overall dimensions: 35.3 x 26 cm Issued in Brookshaw’s scarce monograph: Six birds, accurately drawn and coloured after nature, with full instructions for the young artist : intended as a companion to The treatise on flower painting… first issued in 1817. George Brookshaw (c. 1751–1823), also known as G. Brown, was a notable English painter and illustrator from London. Reference: Dunthorne 53-55. Excellent condition.
