For your consideration, is a hand signed lithograph by Italian artist Rene Gruau, a famous fashion illustrator in the 1940s and 1950s. In excellent condition. The dimensions are 26" H x 20" W unframed.
Gruau was part of the Modern Fashion movement. Elegance. Refinement. Flair. This is what you will find with the artworks by world famous artist and fashion illustrator, Rene Gruau. In the 1940s and 1950s, he created the visual art interpretation to Christian Dior's "New Look” and brought the art of fashion illustration to new "belle epoque.” Using bold, stark lines and vivid colors, Gruau's artworks are Classic and timeless, frequently compared to Toulouse-Lautrec. In his lifetime, he was recognized and commended in some of the most prestigious art museums in Europe, including the Louvre.
