Following Miró’s original painting in 1918 “Still Life with Coffee Grinder”, this 1954 etching and aquatint, engraved by Visat, carries through the same experimentation with varied texture and modulation. The restrained color palette makes “Coffee Grinder” a significant departure from Miró’s other works.
This work was published in 1954 in a limited edition of 300 signed and numbered impressions by Maeght E´diteur, Paris.
The paper bears the BFK Rives watermark, and the Maeght blindstamp.
