Francesco Piranesi 18th Century Architectural Engraving of Sepotero


Francesco Piranesi 1756-1810 of the illustrious Piranesi Family of Rome. Italian etcher, engraver and architect son of Giovanni Battista Piranesi. This period engraving was examined and verified by the Philadelphia's venerable Chestnut Hill Print Shop Ltd. Frames is as we found it in a Prinecton home but we removed the engraving for examination and then cleaned re-matted and re-set in the original frame. Signed Piranesi F. on lower left corner.

    Excellent. One spot on extreme right of image and light stain in margin of upper left side .
