- Yoshitoshi Mori Signed Large Limited Edition Japanese Stencil Print, 1985By Yoshitoshi MoriLocated in Studio City, CAA quite large and engaging fine print by famed Japanese printmaker Yoshitoshi Mori. The print portrays an ancient Samurai, one of Mori's favorite subjects, with an arrowhead in hand. It is stamped, signed, dated (1985) and numbered (12/50) by the artist. The original 1985 price of 300,000 yen can be seen written along the bottom edge of print. I have only seen this print offered once before making it relatively rare. A must have for collectors or admirers of Yoshitoshi Mori's work or lovers of Japanese prints in general. Would stand out in any setting and/or collection. The print has been professionally framed. Framed dimensions: 37" high, 45" wide and 1" deep Considered to be one of Japan's finest and most innovative 20th century print makers, Mori has exhibited throughout the world and his works can be found in permanent collections in such museums and galleries as: Art Gallery of Greater Victoria Art Institute of Chicago Baltimore Museum of Art Barcelona Art...Category

- Toko Shinoda Signed Large Limited Edition Japanese Lithograph Print Moon, 1965By Toko ShinodaLocated in Studio City, CAExquisite in design and execution. This work, titled "Moon", is by Japanese master printmaker Toko Shinoda (1913-2021) who is universally known for her merging of traditional Japanese calligraphy with modern abstract expressionism and use of Sumi ink. This print is hand-signed in pencil, titled, dated (1965), and numbered (3 /10) by the artist. It is from a very limited and small edition thus scarce and rare. Would be a great addition to any collectors of Shinoda's work or Japanese or Asian art or print collection or an eye-catching stand-alone accent artwork in about any setting. Sure to draw attention. - Junichiro Sekino Signed Japanese Limited Edition Woodblock Print AquariumBy Junichiro SekinoLocated in Studio City, CAA wonderfully composed and richly colored, limited edition woodblock print by famed Japanese artist Junichiro Sekino. This print, which is titled "Aquarium", is signed and sealed/ stamped in red at the lower right. We believe this was created in 1956 although it could have been made in 1946 (there are some conflicting dates on this image but we assume 1956 is correct) and comes from a limited edition of 50 prints (the exact number of this particular print and date/year is likely listed in pencil below the matt but we have not removed the print from the frame to confirm the exact number/year). The very image is widely considered by many Sekino critics and scholars to be one of Sekino's masterpieces. It is an exquisite and rare/hard-to-find work. Junichiro Sekino was largely considered, along with Kiyoshi Saito, to be one of Japan's paramount 20th century master print artists. Both were prominent leaders of the Sosaku Hanga movement. Sekino's works can be found in many museums including: The Museum of Modern Art, N. Y., the Art Institute Chicago, the Museum of Fine Art, Boston, the British Museum, and the Portland Art Museum among many other Fine museums throughout the world. Would be a fantastic addition to any modern Japanese print...Category
