Mid-19th Century French Carved Oak Hanging Shelf with Hooks from Normandy

About the Item

Hang pots and other kitchen utensils on this elegant antique shelf. Crafted in Normandy, France circa 1860, the Louis XV wall hanging piece features a bonnet top decorated with a beautiful hand carved floral bouquet decor at the center, flanked with foliage on both sides. The scalloped piece is dressed with eight bronze hooks with cherub faces, and embellished with a decorative putti mount in the center. The shelf is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and has a rich dark walnut patina. Hooks in the back for easy installation. 52.5"W x 7.5"D x 26"H
