Antique Aubusson Tapestry, circa 1880s

About the Item

This long and narrow tapestry was made to go between windows. The sand field displays a shield of arms surmounted by a count's coronet and supported by heraldic lions. Below is floating rose bouquet, and there are leaf swags in the upper corners and rose, leaf and arabesque lower corners. Good condition. Perfect for your period chateau.
