Antique Chinese embroidered silk piano shawl. The style is Manton de Manila, floral crepe de chine. This silk beauty boasts large floral bouquets in red with butterflies. Most likely dates from the 1920s-1930s. It was owned by the famous Broadway actress Florence Jones who starred in the 1923 production of "Children of the Moon". We have a black and white framed photo of her in the production that is inclusive to this purchase.
