About A spectacular Chinese embroidery wall hanging purchased from Antique Chinese collector This example, entailed with many stitch techniques including, satin, couching, extensive and very fine Peking knots , depicts Peacock bird in the garden Surrounded with vines and flowers all on hand loom gold background with Classic motif in Chinese art. The lovely piece is surrounded with decorative border and has cotton backing. One of a kind object of art for wall hanging.

    Rewoven. Repaired: Light repair around the border. Wear consistent with age and use. Minor losses. Minor structural damages. This tapestry originally was frame in large shadowbox ,and was very hard to hang and maneuver therefore we took it out and restore the top and the back with new backing so it will be easy to hang it on the wall . Exceptional and unique piece of art.

An impressive Japanese embroidery tapestry circa 1890s Meiji period, presented with brocade border on linen canvas in a Lucite shadow box. The stunning design features three dragons coiling and flying in the clouds. The high relief technique used to render the dragons using mostly the silver threads gives this piece a tremendous sense of motion.
