The scene depicts a family moving by a horse drawn cart on their way via route de Liomges. Young lovers trailing behind. The hues of brown range from chocolate brown to coyote brown to lighter shades of brown reflecting a fallow color to sand. The shades of blue range from Glaucous blue, blue-grey, smoky blue to light blue. Other colors range from variegated shades of pink and ecru (greyish-pale yellow or a light greyish-yellowish brown) to old gold (yellow color that varies from light olive or olive brown) and hues of olive and artichoke green.
