About the Item

18th century tapestry panel (circa 1745) of the royal manufactories of Brussels of the 18th century, most probably workshops of the families Leyniers-Reydams. This tapestry belonged to a suite of hangings on the subject of hunting, according to cartoons by Jean-Baptiste Oudry (1686-1755). The panel presented here to register a "Scene of hunting at the Royal Course at the Stag". Wool and silk. Measures: Height 250 cm, width: 400 cm.
