Art Deco Crucifix for wall hanging, in palted metal on cross in African ebony wood or coromandel
The figure of Christ has a precious and perfect figure shaped to the purest Art Deco and the cross has a linear shape, staggered in exotic wood, ebony or coromandel, very typical woods also of Art Deco.
To be Art Deco it is a very unusual piece. Rare, since crucifixes are the very popular representation, and therefore it is rare to find a piece like this, so characteristic of Art Deco but with a religious and non-recreational theme, which is common in this style.
It is in excellent condition, ready to be hung on the wall.
It comes from Spain, a country where by Catholic religious tradition, it was very common to have this type of decorative and devotional objects. Normally they were hung on the wall, above the bed, as protection, but they can also be in other places in the house, such as the living room or hallway or hall.
