Wayte & Ridge Majolica Monkey wall pocket, 18 inches high, English, ca. 1860, molded as a monkey climbing a tree, holding a simulated coconut forming the flower bowl, with molded lozenge below the monkey's right foot, 'W & R L,' for Wayte & Ridge, Longton, the reverse with a further painted signature monogram, 'W & R L.' Majolica by this firm is exceedingly rare.
