Multicolored Butterflies Framed with 18th Century Italian Fragments

About the Item

Framed 'Mimoides Pausanias,' 'Dione Juno,' and 'Haetera Piera' butterflies with coordinating 18th century Italian fragments. The butterflies all share beautiful color and pattern combinations and contrast well with one another. The hand-carved gold leaf fragments frame around the butterflies. They are from an ethical butterfly sanctuary in Peru and is cruelty-free. The piece is put together by Jean O'Reilly Barlow, the artist and founder of Interi. The date of manufacture reflects when she created the piece and the period shows that the Italian fragments are originally 18th century. Combined with the Italian fragments, it creates a lovely wall piece of old and new.
