16th Century, Saint Isidore, Patron of Farming and Gardening, Carved-Wood

About the Item

16th Century Spanish carved-wood and polychromed sculpture and altar of Saint Isidore, Patron of Farming and Gardening. He is standing in a red velvet line niche. The altar is adorned with painted floral motives and carved-ribbed details. The piece has been mounted on a Lucite panel and framed with a double molding, one which is painted and distressed to match the background of the altar, and the other is gold gilded.
