O Stool in Blackened Stainless Steel by Estudio Persona
About the Item
Introducing the O Stool in blackened stainless steel for indoor or outdoor use. Also available with a polyurethane finish, and in custom colors. It takes the circular shape to its limits, unfolding and folding again to create a fluid softness in steel. The form captures the steady movement of light and shadows pooling and curving outward as they continuously ebb and flow.
Blackened stainless steel, bent and welded together.
This piece is handcrafted in Los Angeles and is made to order. Customizations available. Please note that this piece is hand finished and differentiations in final finish may occur.

Estudio Persona
Emiliana Gonzalez and Jessie Young are the duo that form Estudio Persona. Their collaborative process and Uruguayan roots bring a refreshing juxtaposition to their furniture and object design. The colorful and vibrant Hispanic cliché is turned on its head in favor of brutalist design evoking stark natural forms and sculptural lines. The absence of color - based on the melancholy of their native Uruguay - informs a distinctly neutral and minimal aesthetic language. Based out of their studio and showroom in Los Angeles, the two women work with natural materials in uniquely contrasting ways: leather meets bent wood forms, while steel and glass are manipulated to evoke softness. Estudio Persona is representative of a new, female, ever-evolving Hispanic minimalism, bringing enduring forms to life.
