Nobility Intaglio Signet Ring for Men or Women with Coats of Arms hand - engraved into the deep of hard Red Onyx Stone. I could not id the Name associated with this design. On the shield - a Leopard Rampant with dotted background under Knight's crown with a detailed Ruster on top. Very well done intaglio carving work with a lot of delicate and extremely miniature details that makes fine impression on any soft and pliable matter. Swedish hallmarks : 3crowns, 18K, maker's hallmarks fragmented , year combo is 08 = hand - made in Linköping in 1940. Red Onyx stone polished flat to gloss : 13.75mm x 12mmmm deep / ca. 12 ct. This stone is rather hard and wear - resistant with Moh's 7 and that makes it a great medium for the art of intaglio and relief carving. Used fine condition. Likely sized in the past. Stone and band with very minor scratches visible under x 10 magnification only. Stone makes fine impression. Size : Ø 4.5 US / 15.27 mm. Sizing is possible for additional payment. Stones with closed backs may seem darker than stones with open backs. Such nuances of color perception do not give any excuse to claim item to be not as described. Unfortunately Internet sales do not allow us to see the items in person before we get them by post. We will not be responsible if in the process of resizing or customization any stone on the ring becomes loose, if any deformation occurs in general or if band of the ring changes shape or becomes deformed. It is often difficult or impossible to get an accurate characteristics of the weight , color and nature of inclusions without removing the stones from the settings to be weighed and examined and doing that may damage the piece.
