This small flat (45 sqm. / 481 sq.ft.) needed to fulfil some large goals. The two major challenges with small spaces are storage and feeling cramped. To resolve this, we visually extended the hight of the rooms and space by installing a faux fireplace and carefully selected low furniture and pieces that are not too massive, for example the Saarinen Table which only has one central leg. We also helped find clever organisation and storage solutions that would allow for practical use without having to sacrifice design. Because this flat was never attended to be a “forever home” we invested into high-quality pieces that are rich in texture and design instead of reinstalling floors or opening walls.
