Fontainebleau Craftsman Project
Family Home di NOMITA JOSHI INTERIOR DESIGN a New Orleans, LA
The 2005 Katrina devastation was an opportunity to rebuild this craftsman bungalow. Creative design and Eco-friendly finishes this home was re-imagined as a modern oasis. The two levels were connected via a stair volume. A modern kitchen was opened up to dining and garden and a new garden seating area was created.
The kitchen was custom designed using walnut plywood as well as walnut hardwood. The cabinets fronts were matched and there is a play between open and closed cabinets. The countertops are poured white concrete. European appliances and random glass tile for backsplash. The center island is wrapped in steel sheeting.
