Gallatin House

Family Home di Workstead a NY, US

Built in the 1850’s, this early-American cottage is set between County Route 7, Sycamore Creek, and the Roeliff Jansen Kill in the rolling hills of Gallatin, NY. The home consists of a bright, open living room on the ground floor, as well as a small kitchen and dining room. On the upper floor, there are 2 cozy bedrooms, a den equipped with a daybed, and a full bath. Originally built as workmen’s lodging at an adjacent homestead, the house was restored with careful attention by the founding partner's of Workstead in 2018. Notable features are wide plank, light pine floors, period windows, and a custom kitchen featuring grooved painted wood paneling and hand-turned knobs. The cottage is an ideal retreat from city life, yet is close to many Hudson Valley towns.
