Nephrite Jade Bangle Twisted Rope Motif Mid-Century
About the Item
This deep green nephrite jade bangle was hand-carved in the early 1950s to resemble twisted rope. It displays the pre-industrial revolution polish of that era, before electric tools and diamond polishing compounds were in wide usage in China. This bangle was created old-school style; with countless hours of hard work, skillfully deployed. The bangle measures 80 x 8.5mm with an interior diameter of 61mm, but because it is hinged in silver, it will fit a wide range of sized wrists.
The muted pine green together with the artistry of the lapidary work and the soft, waxy polish are what make this bangle special and unique.
It ships with a certificate from Stone Group Labs stating that the jade is natural and untreated jadeite from Burma (Myanmar).
