Art Deco Pink Coral Multi-Strand Gold Beaded Bracelet
About the Item
A 1920's Art Deco natural pink coral 14 karat gold three-strand beaded bracelet. The coral beads of this bracelet are round-shaped and are beautifully mottled with different hues of red and pink. The rectangular gold clasp is set with a row of three coral cabochon stones. Between the coral beads the thread is knotted, this ensures the beads do not rub against each other. The bracelet is provided with a yellow gold safety chain.
Coral is considered a symbol of renewal, vitality and beauty. The coral contains pink hues and golden overtones that spring flowers bring to earth. This is a very delicate piece of jewelry that enhances femininity and elegance.
These types of jewels represent a varied and rich historical Dutch cultural heritage, worn by women in some parts of the Netherlands. In the 19th century, coral really came into fashion and was part of the traditional costume, the Dutch have been wearing coral jewelry since the 16th century.
The bracelet is in very good condition and of high quality. The total length is 20 centimeters, the beads are approximately 4-5 millimeters and the bracelet weighs 20.24 grams. Due to the artificial light, the coral may differ in color from the actual daylight. Hallmarks are present and visible at the closure.
