An amazingly constructed hinged bracelet by storied designer William deLillo, this piece is highly dimensional on the wrist and is 1" wide at its narrowest and contours around to 1.5" wide at its centerpoint. Three rows of luscious aqua faceted stones are wire wrapped to an armature of goldtoned metal and high polished goldtone ball bearings are also accents to this luxuriant yet modern design, and this combination of luxe and industrial is what accomplishes that exotic synergy. The spring hinge functions perfectly and is original and extant, 2.5 inches inner diameter with the oipening on the side as pictured. The wire wrapping is an astoundingly intricate detail, a residual design element from deLillo's life partner Robert Clark whose work for designer Miriam Haskell is frequently influentially visible in deLillo's work, especially in terms of utilizing Haskell's wire weaving of beads and assembled elements into a cohesive whole. In this bracelet, the wire work is evident, but in a wholly different format and to a highly variant effect. The signature plaque is on the armature, but is partially obscured by the hand done wires. Excellent condition. Spring on hinge is nice and tight. The bracelet does protrude up from the wrist almost one inch, so it's definitely elegant, and modern and very much a statement size and impact piece.
