De Liguoro gold cuff bracelet from Actress Elsa Martinelli's personal collection

About the Item

A true show stopper is this large 18K gilt and rhinestone accent layered leaves cuff circa the 1980s. The cuff if from the personal collection of fine and costume jewelry of Italian actress Elsa Martinelli. Several pieces in her collection are by the fifty year old Italian jewelry company De Liguoro and designed by Gianni De Liguoro. It is in very very good to fine condition. Interior circumference of metal is 6 inches. Including open space between cuff ends is 7 inches. The cuff is 3.25 inches wide. It measures 9 inches around from beginning to end of the metal cuff not including the open space. Outer diameter 3.5. Interior circumference including open space between cuff end is 7 inches. Cuff is lightly forgiving or bendable to put on and remove. Unsigned but made in style and construction of De Liguoro couture pieces of the 1980s. Matching earrings available in separate listing. De Liguoro has produced couture bijoux for over fifty years and an exhibition was dedicated to the company by the Museo del Bihoux in Casalmaggiore. The only museum dedicated to jewelry in Italy. Elsa Martinelli was always known from her incredible style and fashion sense. In 1953 Elsa was discovered by fashion designer Roberto Capucci and introduced her to the fashion world where Elsa became a model. Modeling lead to small roles in film. In 1954 the the film that made her an important name was "The Indian Fighter" playing opposite Kirk Douglas. In the 50s she married Count Franco Mancinell and began living between Europe and the USA working in film. though the 60s. By the 70s Elsa was apart of the smart set and had her second marriage to Paris Match photographer and Italian furniture designer Willy Rizzo. Her last appearance was in 2005 in the tv series Orgoglio as the Duchessa di Monteforte. Located in Italy. Please inquire for global shipping.
