A Pair Of Victorian Floral Engraved Silver Cuffs

About

Sterling silver cuffs,1 1/2 inches wide, are florid enough to make a strong show of themselves separately. When purchased as a pair, the drama of wearing one on each wrist is exciting. Paisley forms made of fronds, and abstract flowers cover the entire front of each cuff. The engraver had fun designing artfully . The fronds are outlined in a sawtoothed line. Areas between fronds are tightly cross hatched. There are exclamations of brush strokes for emphasis. As you can see in the clasp detail, one presses on a ridged oval to open the bracelet which has a hearty click when locked closed. There is an extremely slight variation in the two cuffs, not in the paisley, but in small details of the engraving. The saw toothed frond outlines are the same. The cross hatching is not. One cuff has a ribbon of engraving along the front top and bottom. The cuffs are beautiful and pairs are always most desirable. Will fit most medium to medium plus wrists Price for each is $1100.00. If bought as a pair the price becomes $1800.00 . c.1950
