THIS IS A SUPERB RARE JADE ART NOUVEAU BELLE EPOQUE BRACELET WITH 6 EXTRAORDINARY NATURAL ANTIQUE JADE CABOCHONS OF INCREDIBLE BEAUTY SET IN A 14 KARAT GOLD ART NOUVEAU SETTING WITH FULLY MODELED THREE-DIMENSIONAL PANSY FLOWERS WITH PEARL ACCENTS IN AN OPEN WORK LINK BRACELET DATING TO THE BELLE EPOQUE TO ART NOUVEAU PERIOD - C1880-1910 - A MUSEUM QUALITY JEWEL!
The Art Nouveau jewels are so very rare and so desirable. And here we have one with the most stunning natural Jade. The 6 Jade cabochons are superb! They are each 7 mm by 4.5 mm. They are collet set with open backs and are very fine jade.
The setting is an amazing Art Nouveau bracelet in 14 Karat gold. The links are of extraordinary quality. The jewel is from the estate of a prominent original Los Angeles family. The links have the most luscious warm rosy gold - it really is just perfect. And the Jade oval cabochons alternate with the most stunning floral motif links with fully modeled pansy flowers set with pearls. The flowers have a 3 dimensional design which is highlighted by the open work design.
The bracelet is in excellent period condition. The gold is a lovely rose gold. It is hallmarked 14K with a makers mark on the clasp. The jade is in excellent condition. There is one flower that does not have a pearl at the end of one branch which may have been there originally. We have not replaced this as I really like it the way it is, but it is certainly possible to do so.
The bracelet is 18 cm (7 inches) long. It is 12 mm wide.
The clasp is a secure clasp.
The bracelet weighs 15.5 grams.
