This is a bone china bracelet designed by Kenneth Jay Lane for the Royal Worchester Company. In 1976, Lane went to the Royal Worchester headquarters in England and chose several of their classic bone china patterns to fashion into necklaces and bracelets. The pieces were stamped with the Royal Worchester hallmark and had a hang tag with Kenneth Jay Lane's signature. This piece has lost the hang tag but retains the Royal Worchester hallmark. It measures 2 1/2" in diameter and is 1 1/4" wide. It is in excellent condition.

Kenneth Jay Lane was born in 1930 in Detroit, MI. He founded his costume jewelry firm in 1963. His designs were so popular that his initial collection at Saks Fifth Avenue sold out in one day. Lane’s jewelry has been worn by Diana Vreeland, Jacqueline Kennedy, Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, and Diana the Princess of Wales. One of Lane’s best known pieces is the three-strand imitation pearl necklace that was worn by Jacqueline Kennedy. Lane has appeared in Andy Warhol films, was mentioned in a song by by Lou Reed and appeared on numerous Best Dressed Lists.
