About the Item
Wear it every day! This gorgeous tennis bracelet features diamonds and rubies. Hand-made using traditional methods, this singular piece has been designed and produced in Palermo, Sicily by master jewellers.
Made from 18-karat white gold and set with white diamonds (F/G VVS) and almost 7 carats of rubies. This bracelet is 19 centimetres long and .45 cm wide. It weighs 9.8 grams.
The history of the tennis bracelet is romantic and ambiguous: crystalized when a tennis match at the US Open was paused by the great Chris Evert, whose diamond eternity bracelet had flown off her wrist. The extravagance of playing in diamonds was such a novelty that the jewel earned its new name simply by association with the glamorous athlete. Whether that incident is accurate or not, the delicate line bracelet, a style that has been around since the 1920s, earned the new name “tennis bracelet” during the 1980s as Evert ascended the ranks of players in her chic sporting gear and delicate diamond jewellery. Tennis champions like Serena Williams still wear them today as they are the perfect accessory on and off the court for casual, feminine elegance. A tennis bracelet should be worn somewhat loose; it is ideal when you can fit a finger between the band and your wrist.

The FANCS V workshop is situated in the heart of Sicily's capital city, Palermo. The jeweller is a three-generation Sicilian family business owned and run by Simona Elia and her husband Natale Vitale. Created by Natale's grandfather, FANCS V has grown from a goldsmith shop into a design studio where Simona, who trained in Milan, contributes signature collections to complement the custom pieces Natale produces for a dedicated client base. For FANCS V, happiness is defined by the moment you receive your jewel and fall in love with it. Look for the company code PA266 stamped into all gold pieces, which indicate their authenticity.
