A stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian 2.50 carat opal and 0.12 carat diamond, 18 karat yellow gold brooch - boxed; part of our diverse brooches collection This stunning, fine and impressive antique Victorian brooch has been crafted in 15k yellow gold. This fine brooch has a pierced decorated elliptical frame, displaying two floral motifs. The brooch is ornamented to the center with an impressive bezel set cabochon cut opal. This stunning central gemstone is flanked with flower motifs, each ornamented to the center with a claw set Old European cut diamond. Each diamond is encircled by six individually set cabochon cut opals, completing the cluster designs. The elliptical frame conjoining each floral cluster is embellished with two claw set round faceted cut rubies to the center of the arch. The Victorian bar brooch features an individual eight claw set round faceted cut ruby decorated terminal to either end. The brooch secures with a hinged pin and clasp to the reverse. The brooch is fitted to an impressive hinged leatherette presentation box, with a satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch. This opal brooch has been independently tested using state of the art technology (Niton XL2 Analyzer) and verified as 15 karat gold. This impressive Victorian brooch is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card.
