Antique 1865 Gothic Revival Brooch Emerald Wood 14 Karat Two Color Gold, Italy
About the Item
This wonderful and highly decorative brooch in the gothic revial taste has been crafted in Italy around 1865 ca. This striking piece of jewellery can also be worn as a pendant by piercing it's pin through the links of a gold chain. The centre of the brooch consists of a large flower, reminiscent of a gothic stained glass window, in an engraved golden frame. The flower petals are inlayed with wood, it's centre is decorated with three round cut emeralds. Gold chains and five tassels, two of which set with emeralds, are suspended from the broochThe outer edge of the brooch is decorated with two delicately engraved flowers and leaves, each flower holds an emerald.
