Antique Brooch Enamel Portrait Noble Lady Gothic Revival Diamonds Gold Silver
About the Item
This brooch was created in the second half of the nineteenth century in the Neo Gothic taste. We see the profile bust of a lady wearing a bonnet . The portrait bust is executed in raised enamel over a red background executed in guilloché technique. To the right of the portrait we see three square gold frames with the most exquisite miniature glas windows executed equally in relief. Each window features a quatrefoil with a blue disk in the center, the corners are made of green glas. All glas sections have been highlighted with white enamel. The frame with the enamel work is surrounded by foliage made out of silver and set with rose diamonds.
