    An antique 19th century drop-shaped brooch created in 14 karat gold. The brooch is set with seven seed pearls and the surface is beautifully detailed with fine filigree and cannetille work. Cannetille typically features fine gold wires or thinly hammered sheets. Jewelry with cannetille was very popular in the 1900's, especially in the 1820's and 1830's.
