Antique Edwardian and Victorian Gold and Diamond Brooch Collection

About the Item

A treasured collection of fine antique gold pins with diamonds can be purchased as a collection or separately. Imagine all or a few on a lapel, running up your sleeve or encircling a neckline. The pansy has sold. The circle pin is Victorian c. 1880, and holds 8 cushion cut old mine diamonds approximately .90 ct. total weight. Color H, Clarity S1. It is 14-15Kt gold and American or English origin. It is 1 1/8 inch in diameter and priced at $1100. The Oval Edwardian pin is formed like a flower with spiky petals and holds a Old Mine diamond of approximately .10 pts. The diamond is H color SI clarity. The border is engraved with flowers in the same shape as the pin. It is c. 1910 and 14 Kt gold. The width is 1 1/4 inches. The height is 1/2 inch. Likely American made. It is $480.00 The Edwardian Bow, engraved around the edges in swirls and lined triangles, holds three diamonds, the center being a European cut the two beside are transitional cut for a total weight of .25 pts. It is 14 to 15 Kt gold and has a safety catch. The horizontal gold rays emphasize the shape. I admire the hand work of engraving on these small gems. It took steady hands and minuscule tools used with dedication. It is $1100 All brooches are perfect in condition.

Antique Victorian Serpentine Scottish Agate Brooch
Located in Stamford, CT
Undulating swirls of agate in mellow colors are cut and polished, then set in silver. Texture and softness were created by the jeweler with his choice of patterned agates as well as his ability to sculpt the stone. The pink agates are not frequently seen in scottish 19th century jewelry. Here they beautifully punctuate the horizontal plane. All of the workmanship was performed by hand Scottish jewelry, as well as Scottish tradition, were brought to the forefront during the second half of the 19th century because Queen Victorian and Prince Albert were deeply involved with and romanced Scottish tradition. At their privately owned castle Balmoral they dressed in Scottish clothing and wore Scottish jewelry. Their dedication brought Scottish agate...
